Iranian animation ‘Release from Heaven’ has grabbed Best Animation Award from the 7th edition of the Fort McMurray International Film Festival (YMMIFF) in Canada.
Directed by Ali Nouri-Oskui, the Iranian animation took part in the competition section of the event and succeeded to receive the main award of the event.
‘Release from Heaven’ narrates the story of a female writer and teacher, Sareh, who has to accompany two of her students on a life changing journey to find their fathers.
Founded in 2011, the YMMIFF seeks to introduce a wide range of international cinema to Northern Canada by featuring exceptional films from around the world as well as locally produced films.
The event was held on November 10-12, 2017.
